What I want from a hair salon.

If I were to walk into a salon for a colour, hair cut or just a blow-dry, what as a female client do I want?
Well, first a smile and a friendly welcome as I walk through the door… I cant stand it when you walk into a place and you are ignored or even looked at like you fell into the Salon!
When I walk in, I want to feel acknowledged, welcome and not just a number.
I want to get to know my hair stylist. The stylist should get to know me too. I want to have a clear consultation and be confident about the service I want.
Whether I’m having my hair washed or not, I should feel like I’m being pampered every time, getting a good service and value for money. After all, I work hard for my money.
I want to know about products…
I want advice and expertise on how to look after my hair at home…
I want a friendly chat and a coffee while I have my hair done…
As a business woman and mom, above all its good just to escape the daily routine for a short while…

Once my service has finished I want to leave knowing I look great and wanting to go back, I don’t want to keep trying different salons as I wasn’t quite happy with my last!
I want to go back knowing ill have that ‘feel good’ feeling again, every time.
Now thats what I want as a women, to feel beautiful, loved, appreciated and like I have just had VIP treatment.
So what makes a great salon?
Well I believe its all about how you feel… From the moment you arrive to the compliments you receive from family and friends. The anticipation of your next appointment. A salon that helps you feel like that, Now that’s a great salon.
